Give a Seat for Christmas!
Looking for that special unique gift for someone who loves live performance and the cultural life of the Waikato?
You can 'Give a Seat' in the new Waikato Regional Theatre as a Christmas gift for friends and family!
For a donation of $1,500, the name you choose will be displayed on a seat in the auditorium for the lifetime of the Theatre.
Proud Waikato folk are ‘giving a seat’ for Christmas or a birthday to those they know love live performance, or for their kids to see when they grow up, or for their parents’ major wedding anniversary, or to memorialise a passed loved one.
When you ‘Give a Seat’ in the Theatre, we will send you a ‘Your name on a seat’ pop-up gift card, pictured below, to present to the lucky recipient whose name will be displayed.
To ‘Take a Seat’, and see the terms and conditions, please visit sharethestage.co.nz/takeaseat today.
Rotary and Momentum put footbridge on Council agenda
The Government’s November announcement of intensification infrastructure funding is great news for the Hamilton CBD. Momentum Waikato congratulates the Hamilton City Council for successfully negotiating this great result.
It is particularly pleasing that this move means the Pedestrian and Cycling Bridge across the river will get built, close to the new Waikato Regional Theatre. We played a key role in getting the bridge project to this point, something we haven't previously promoted publicly.
In 2020 Momentum Waikato partnered with Rotary Clubs of Hamilton, led in this by Don Law and John Gallagher, to commission and then work with Beca to produce the Concept Development Report required to get the bridge formally into the Hamilton City Council Long-Term Plan.
OPTIONS: Crossings considered by BECA and consulted groups for new footbridge, Option 4 was chosen as the most practical and effective.
