Media cover start of Theatre site work

Physical on-site works for the Waikato Regional Theatre got underway in mid-October when Hamilton was at the Level 3 Covid Alert Level.

At that point the media picked up on the Hamilton City Council’s announcement that the Riff Raff Statue was being removed from Embassy Park for the duration of the Theatre’s construction.

Then with the drop to Level 2, people returning to the South End of the CBD has been able to see the demolition work underway, prompting local media to start their planned regular coverage of the build over the last few days.
